＜p＞Auguste Bonneville began his career working for the prestigious house of Claire Godfroy in Paris, alongside Louis Lot. In 1876 he established his own workshop, producing professional-grade flutes renowned for their exceptional craftsmanship and distinctive tonal character. Bonneville flutes are often described as having a richer, more textured sound than the cleaner Lot instruments - somewhere between the warmth of English wooden flutes and the brightness of French silver. Based on the serial number, this flute was made circa 1910.＜/p＞ ＜p＞This instrument features a C foot, open hole keys, inline G, and French pointed cups. The body and mechanism are silver plated.＜/p＞ ＜p＞The flute was retuned to A440 and the lip plate reworked by Emanuel Arista. Arista, a Boston-based master flutemaker since 1991, is internationally recognized for his precision craftsmanship and was awarded Flute Maker of the Year in 2024.＜/p＞
