It also happens to be a beauty, with Indian rosewood back and sides, and a Sitka spruce top that really rings. The fretboard is inlayed with abalone rosette in their "H&D Designed Ripple" pattern, and it also encircles the sound hole, protected by a tortoise pick guard. Versatile for performance or personal play. It's noteworthy to mention that this model is a nicely manageable size, not being too large for a smaller person, and is very comfortable to hold whether by strap or on lap. The cutaway gives easy access to the high-end, too. But the best part of this instrument is it's beautiful voice: it's balanced with a well-opened, full tone that's clear and warm, with overtones that really satisfy my "picky musician" ears – no thin treble or muddy base. It's very stable and responsive with a sound that is fully opened up. I'm only selling it because, frankly, it deserves to be played, and arthritis is stopping me.
